We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Ryan Brummitt, our new ‘Managing Director of Specialist Services’…
Ryan (pictured) started working with us a couple of weeks ago now and initially will be primarily supporting our new ‘My Life Choice’ supported living service, we wish him much luck in his new role!

‘Having spent the last two weeks getting to know the business I have been blown away by how welcoming each and every interaction has been. Our teams, although spread across the country far and wide, work so productively together. It has been great not only to visit the offices & office based staff teams but also to meet some of the people we support and their support teams.
Twenty years ago when I started a career in ‘Care’ as a ‘Support Worker’, it was at the time to fuel a university social life. Little did I realise that this would be the only industry I would ever know (other than a 12 month spell as a butcher – I will save the details for chapter 2). I have been fortunate to work for a number of Care Providers across a number of models of care and support ranging from Supported Living, Residential Care with Nursing & Supported Employment. For the last ten years I have worked nationally across England & Wales delivering support to some of the most vulnerable people in society. It is hugely rewarding to be able to see the difference our teams can make to the lives of such individuals and Optimo is no different.
I am a passionate believer that the scale of our ambition needs to be matched and exceeded by the quality of the support we deliver. A focus on quality is non negotiable for me and I have been fortunate to oversee a number of ‘Outstanding’ rated services in England, including the first ‘Outstanding’ rating for a Supported Living provider. I look forward to using my experience and learning more from our talented colleagues in the coming weeks and months and working together to strengthen Optimo’s position as a leading provider of care and support.’
