As the UK Health Security Agency is urging everyone eligible for a free flu vaccine and a COVID-19 booster to take up the offer as soon as possible, we are pleased to have been able to cascade information and booking details to our staff through our internal App and communications process, as early as we were able.  This has been to help support and enable them to get vaccinated ahead of what it’s been said could be a difficult winter with respiratory viruses circulating widely.

The agency says that it is concerned there are lower levels of natural immunity to flu this year and increased COVID-19 circulation.  They have confirmed that a type of flu (H3N2) has recently caused waves of infection in countries such as Australia, which has also experienced flu circulating earlier than usual in their winter season.
