Firstly, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to Ronnie Gwindi, our new Registered Manager for the Sheffield area. Ronnie joined Choices in Sheffield last month and has been busy settling into his new role, he brought with him a strong background in Health and Social Care; previously working in Support Services, as a Development Worker, then a Care Co-ordinator, before taking up his previous position as a Service Manager. Alongside these career developmental pathways, he also continued with his personal academic development and graduated with a post graduate diploma in social work in 2013 .
Ronnie says he really enjoys working in domiciliary care as he enjoys working with people in the community, supporting them to live in their own homes for longer; he says this role has given him an opportunity to lead his team of Care Workers from the front line and to support and deliver a service that meets the objectives of the Organisation – a service to be proud of!
He looks forward to collaborative working with his colleagues, service users, their families and other stakeholders and says he is really enjoying getting to know everyone.
Ronnie has had a really busy time since he joined us, as his service has moved into new office premises in the heart of the Sheffield area and both he, and his colleagues, are starting to settle in to their new environment. Good luck in your new role Ronnie and well done with the move – We’re glad everything has gone so smoothly!
